Staff

Our staff has significant experience working with kids and shares a strong enthusiasm for science and technology. As a result, you'll be exposed to great science and technology role models, and become engaged and passionate about your chosen subjects. We ensure personalized attention by keeping our student-to-staff ratio at 6:1.

Introducing Director STEPHANIE CHANG

Stephanie graduated from M.I.T. with a degree in Biology and minors in both Science, Technology and Society and Biomedical Engineering. After a stint in Washington, D.C., working in science policy research, she followed her passions and made her way to California, where she taught kids marine science and outdoor education on the boats of the Marine Science Institute, before joining The Tech Musuem Camps team in October 2007.

A Note From Stephanie:
Welcome to The Tech Museum Summer Camps! As we prepare for our seventh year, I'm excited to have so many great families involved in our science and technology summer community. We're still innovating, imagining, exploring and building. As a result, we will have 18 amazing classes this year, 3 of which are new. In addition to the classes you should expect more camp fun and inspiring instructors to spark your interests and passions. I look forward to seeing you all this summer!

Every camper is supported by the following staff members:

Satff Photo - 2007

Camp Director: Leads The Tech Summer Camps staff, manages all camp operations and is the main contact for parents.

Lead Instructors: Teach our science and technology classes. Lead Instructors are college graduates with teaching experience and backgrounds in their subject matters.

Assistant Instructors: Provide additional instructional support, with two or three in every classroom. Assistant Instructors are college students or recent graduates pursuing careers in science or technology related fields.

Summer Interns: Assist the Camp Director and instructional staff with running camp operations and providing a great classroom experience. Summer Interns are high-achieving high school students with interests in science, technology and education.
